    5 Questions For Rudimental…

Just Beats head back to XOYO on Saturday May 5th, having had two fantastic nights they return for the third, and with them they bring Rudimental who have garnered a massive amount of deserved attention recently, especially on the back of Radio 1 listed 'Feel The Love' we spoke to them briefly, about their success, plans for the year and the influence of East London.

    1. Hey guys, it's been an amazing last couple of months for you, have you taken it all in yet? What's been most surprising about it all?
Hello! Yea its been really crazy, getting daytime radio 1 play is pretty surreal for us. The support so far has been amazing. The most amazing thing is that we have got to meet some of our childhood heroes... Meeting Simon Dunmore recently has been the highlight!

    2. You'll be at Just Beats on the 5th May, very excited to have you guys down, how big a role has East London played in the Rudimental uprising?
Looking forward to the 5th of May, East London has played a massive role for sure. We grew up in Hackney, so from jungle at Kool FM to garage and house on Passion FM and then MC's like Dizzee bursting on to the scene on Rinse FM and Deja-Vu. I think we can safely say East London's has had a pretty big influence on our music and lifestyle.

    3. New single 'Feel The Love' is getting major exposure (congratulations), have you got album plans in the pipeline?
Yep, we are currently working on the album, you can expect lots of different styles and flavours. We are an eclectic bunch but we always try our best to make our music standout and soulful. The mix of soulful sounds with Bass and Beats will be a reoccurring theme throughout... That is all you are getting on the album!

    4. Black Butter are a fantastic label, how did you guys hook up with them?
Black Butter are great guys, they first picked up "Deep In The Valley" feat MC Shantie in Jan 2011 and we've been working with them since... Great running alongside other BB regulars like Kidnap Kid, Woz, Hostage, RackNRuin, Foamo and co... Make sure you come to the next BB Sessions - it goes off differently!

    5. What plans have you got for the rest of the year? Busy we suspect!
Very busy, but the fun side of busy. You can expect more songs, DJ sets at Creamfields/Global Gathering/Outlook/Ibiza rocks to name a few. An album at some-point too, with a wicked live show to go with it. keep updated via our website:www.rudimental.co.uk, Twitter: @rudimentaluk etc...

Be sure to check out Just Beats Volume 2, and be sure to get your tickets for May 5th!
